In case you'd like to know a bit more about sportmatch.org...

www.SportMatch.org was started in Cambridge in March 2008 by Richard Dexter.

Players can drop-out before a friendly game of football and quite often it is a struggle to find a replacement. I created sportmatch as there weren't any internet sites where I could email out a plea for a player in Cambridge. And playing 5 against 4 just is not as good fun for everybody involved.

www.SportMatch.org was designed to be used for other sports as well as football but with the aim to target a specific geographical region. That way hopefully there would be other players near you when you registered so it would be useful.
